IIT Launches Bequest Program

A red heart made from paper held by cupping hands

A bequest is more than a one-off donation — it’s a meaningful and lasting investment in a future where everyone belongs. Your gift can make a real difference for generations to come.

At IIT, our mission is to make inclusion mainstream by developing innovative approaches that empower individuals living with disability, disadvantage, or disruption.

As a 100% volunteer-run, non-government-funded organisation, our initiatives — including Blind Sports Tasmania, the GameChanger Sports Equipment Scheme, and other inclusive community programs — only happen with significant support. These programs transform lives by improving access, encouraging participation, and fostering a more inclusive society.

Without public donations and fundraising efforts, many of these opportunities would be restricted, reduced, or at worst, never realised.

So, why consider a bequest?

By including IIT in your Will, you help ensure that our programs continue to thrive and expand, bridging the gap between community needs and practical, life-changing solutions.

There are several ways to support IIT through a bequest, including involving your family in a way that ensures alignment to your values to make long-term positive impact for generations to come.

Read more about how we approach this personal process and how bequest funds are carefully managed and put into action on our Bequests page.
