We invite your business or group to take part in an exciting and impactful fundraising initiative – IIT’s ‘Go Casual for a Cause Day’, in support of Blind Cricket Tasmania.
This simple but powerful fundraiser allows everyone to engage in a fun, community-driven activity while supporting inclusive sports across Tasmania.
IIT are the only NFP organisation offering regular access to specifically designed sports sessions for people with a vision impairment, including cricket, golf, tennis, and more.
How It Works
It’s easy! During your designated casual cause day, staff members can swap their usual work attire for casual clothes in return for a set amount donation ($2, $5 or more).
All funds raised will directly support IIT’s blind and low vision statewide sports programs, including helping the Tasmanian Tigers Blind Cricket Team compete in the National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC) each year.
Why Get Involved?
By participating, you will:
• Encourage an inclusive culture and workplace unity in a fun and relaxed way.
• Support inclusion in sport, ensuring vision-impaired people across Tasmania have the chance to participate, connect, socialise, and even represent our state!
• Gain public recognition – in acknowledging your generous support IIT will post a social media story, including Tigers players, where a photo opportunity is possible.
How to promote and have fun with your Casual for a Cause day

We’ll provide a custom poster to display in your workplace, along with social media assets you can share. But you can also encourage participation and create a real ‘buzz’ in many of these ways too, including;
• Sending an email including images of Tigers players and personal impact statements on how accessing sport has enriched their lives.
• Setting a collective goal that’s achievable
• Creating a friendly competition, with the most creative outfit winning a prize.
• Encouraging social media engagement, posting people’s casual outfits and/or in cricket poses using the hashtag #ImCasualForACause
• Incentivising donations with your business or organisation matching the funds raised by participants.
• Hosting a mini event or morning tea, with a short presentation about blind cricket and the benefits of their donation, including inviting a player from the BCT team for a chat and Q&A session.
• Once completed, invite and challenge another group to undertake the same initiative by creating a competitive spirit in reaching a set fundraising goal individually and collectively.
Ready to Join?
We’d love to have you on the team! Simply send us an email to phillip@inclusiveinnovationstasmania.com.au to confirm your participation, and we’ll send you the promotional materials and arrange a visit with one of our Tigers players if possible.
