Jess wins IIT / Diemen Awards Emerging Talent Award

The 2023 Tasmanian Creative Industries ‘Diemen Awards’ was held recently, with IIT Director Katy Cooper presenting Jessica Stennings with her Emerging Talent ‘Inclusive Work’ Award for a person living with a disability.

IIT will now help Jessica secure an industry work placement so she can learn firsthand the relevant skills and methods in developing her professional experience and hopefully secure an employment opportunity.

Jess is a design all-rounder and talented illustrator, having already produced a children’s book. You can see some of her work on her Insta page here.

IIT is a proud sponsor of the Award which is identifying and supporting talent who would not necessarily be visible or have ready access to industry opportunities without this initiative.
